Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox is a Scottish native singer. She was born on 25, December, 1954 in Aberdeen. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox won a scholarship award to study at London's Royal Academy of Music for 3 years. She lived off of an allowance for students and went in part-time jobs to increase her income. While in the Royal Academy Lennox was dissatisfied by her performance in comparison to her fellow students and contemplated a possible alternative direction she would take. Lennox started her professional career in the year 1976 in a band called Dragons Playground. However she left when the band was featured on I.T.V.s talent competition New Faces. Between 1977 and 1980, she was vocalist for The Tourists. A British pop group. This is where she first got to know Dave Stewart with whom she would form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox then went on to record her solo debut album Diva. This came out in 1992. The album received a lot of praise, both from the press and critics. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album debuted in October of 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favorite soul jazz and blues tunes from her upbringing. Lepidoptera includes four keyboard improvised tracks. The E.P. The first single from her debut album"Now I'm Letting You go... is the perfect accompaniment to her work of art at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Annie Lennox was born in 1954 on December 25. She is a social activist, philanthropist as well as a singer. At the end of the 70s, Lennox gained some not-so-great fame while members the group known as The Tourists. She and Dave Stewart then gained international fame in the 1980s when they formed Eurythmics. In 1992 Lennox started her own solo career by releasing the release of her first album Diva which yielded numerous successful tracks, including Why and Walking through Broken Glass. Medusa an album from her studio, that was released in 1995 features versions of some of her biggest hits, such as the No MoreI I Still Love Yous (and The Whiter Shade of Pale). She has released six solo studio albums and compilation albums.
